We are supporting our internationally operating client based in southern Germany in filling the following management position:

Head of Accounting EMEA (m/w/d)

Job Description
  • Accounting responsibility for EMEA
  • Professional and disciplinary management of a 12-person intercultural team at several locations
  • Preparation of the monthly reporting
  • Preparation of IFRS monthly reports including comments on variance analyses for the balance sheet in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Independent preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS requirements, including explanations and notes
  • Determination and transmission of statistical key figures to the parent company
  • Primary contact person for the auditor, responsible for ensuring the timely completion of annual audit
  • Accompanying audits and implementing measures from the audit reports for financial accounting
  • Optimization and digitalization of processes in an international context
  • Independent preparation of HGB reports using results data from Microsoft Dynamics for internal and external purposes
  • Preparing and compiling documents for tax returns in collaboration with tax advisors
  • Close cooperation with Finance Business Partnering
  • Overall entrepreneurial view beyond the finance area
Job Requirements
  • Well-founded professional experience in the area of finance/ taxes/ accounting in a
  • comparable position in a manufacturing company, ideally with own development and production
  • Commercial studies with further training in accounting and controlling
  • Exemplary team builder with a focus on promoting and developing employees
  • Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements
  • Good knowledge of commercial and tax law in accordance with HGB and IFRS
  • Experience in digitization and process optimization in financial accounting
  • Very good knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) and MS Office application skills
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting personality who seeks responsibility and communication in an international environment and appreciates the hands-on mentality of a medium-sized company
  • Structured, reliable and solution-oriented way of working
  • Strong analytical skills and an excellent understanding of numbers
